The start of a long string of forecasted rainy days.
It's Good Friday, as observed by the Orthodox church in Serbia.  This meant that a number of shops closed early, there was less traffic and perhaps less activity downtown.  After a simple breakfast, we just hung out (it was raining) until our friends Paul and Randi flew in from Qatar.  They are staying at the Hotel Indigo right here downtown. They arrived and we took a short walk, visited at our Airbnb for a bit, and then went to Jovana's for a Good Friday meal.

Four (?) types of fish, potatoes, salad, beans, pita, bread, baklava, Jovana served up a delicious feast for us and our friends.  Zoran shared a special bottle of wine, as well as rakia and pivo. We also had the privilege of meeting Zoran's brother, Dragan, who is a policeman and works on the bomb squad, investigating and defusing explosives (!)

We had a great visit and we were having such a good time chatting, I neglected to take any photos. Oprosti! (Sorry!) We can just add this to the guilt of having Jovana and Zoran prepare all of this for our enjoyment, and then of course not really eating while we ate all of their food.  It's the Serbian way of things! What can I say?

Tomorrow, the four of us (Yelena and I, Paul and Randi),  will be flying to Tivat.  There is some concern about the weather, but we're hoping for some breaks in the forecasted rain, so that we can take day trips to nearby towns.
