Stopped by the bakery again for breakfast (fresh burek) and to get ANOTHER withdraw from the ATM for our car tour today.

Checking out of the Airbnb was easy/fast and our host was very flexible.  We originally thought we would have to check out late, but then reverted to checkout at 9:30.

We met our driver, Pavle, on the port side of the street, where we had planned.  He was ready/waiting for us. It was about a 30 minute drive to our first stop, Porto Novi. 
This is a new Montenegrin City, no more then 5-6 years old.  It's very high end, basically, a City built specially around a port for wealthy yacht owners.
A bit soulless, perhaps. Hardly any one here. This poor little rich kid has no friends to play with.

We had coffee/Coke at a cafe,
Then after a bit of wandering, rejoined our driver for the next stop, Hercig Novi, another 15 minutes away.

Or driver said Hercig Novi is very friendly to Serbs, so it's popular for them to visit. We had a nice lunch overlooking the bay and the passage to the Adriatic, then walked into the Old Town.
There was some concern we wouldn't make our flight, as it involved catching a ferry.  There were some nervous moments as we counted the number of cars that would make the next load, but we made it!
Then we hit construction on our narrow seaside road, and worried again.  We shouldn't have worried.  Our flight back to Belgrade was delayed, so we didn't leave until 45 minutes later then expected. During our airport wait, we were entertained by a young Serb having the time of his life, biking around the waiting area.  First time I've ever seen that.

some taxi drama, again, as we wandered outside the normal taxi pickup zone, and then probably overpaid for a ride into the city.  All part of the deal, I suppose.

Our new Airbnb is very nice, and we were greeted at the door by gentlemen owner, very good English skills, who gave us the walkthrough, and pointed out the Rakia he left out for us!  Only Yelena and I partook.  Jivoli!
A very nice place.  We've been pleased with all of our accomodations on this trip.

Now, we're just cleaning up and we'll be taking Jovana and Zoran out to dinner.

I lost this entire post, in draft, when looking up a stupid YouTube video. Another reason to dislike Baka Prase (explained at the end).  Typing this all over again now... Our flight over the ocean, into Amsterdam, was long. I can't sleep on planes.  We had  "comfort plus" seating, but the seats still didn't recline enough for me.  Upon landing, we had to walk off the plane onto the tarmac and get in a bus.  Weird. Two old babas had walking issues. One actually fell and hit her head while getting into the bus. Ouch. The flight from Amsterdam to Belgrade was on a much smaller plane.  Upon arrival, lots of people started smoking as soon as we got to the baggage area. Smoking is very common here and not looked upon with disfavor as in the US.  Customs was easy and Jovana and Zoran were right outside the security area, waiting to drive us into downtown Belgrade. Last day! After a nice dinner last night, Yelena and I joined Jovana and Zoran back at their apartment.  They gave us gifts for the kids, a bottle of rakia, jars of honey and ajvar to take back to the states.  I gave them a corkscrew I picked up in Montenegro.  This gift was a bit of a joke, as Zoran couldn't find a corkscrew  during a previous dinner and he had to go buy screw top wine. We had a few glasses of wine with dinner and after dinner. Getting up at 3:30 am this morning was rough! We were the only ones in the street. The Car:Go app worked fine and it was our fastest drive ever to Nikola Tesla airport (85 mph the entire way!). All that speed was for nothing, however as the passport and luggage processing at Belgrade int'l was THE WORST.  After standing a long time, we jumped the long line in both the passport area AND luggage area, confirming the reputation of "Ugly American tourists".  We feel bad about that, but the alternative was to...

After leftover burek for breakfast, we started our day with the usual walk along the Knez for coffee etc. This was probably the nicest day we're going to see on this trip, with highs approaching 70f.   Then we walked through the fortress, and went to the zoo. Belgrade Zoo is quite large, with a wide variety of animals. But all zoos are kind of sad, and city zoos especially so.  The animals simply don't have much room to move and have nothing to do in their boring lives.  The cheetahs probably looked the healthiest. They had the largest enclosures and paced endlessly. One artic wolf had a separate cage from the rest of the pack.  They must have rejected him. We actually got hot walking in the sunshine, so stopped for refreshment at the zoo concession stand.  It was surprising to see the zoo has a "strong drinks" section.
