We walked to a bakery, recommended by Jovana, a bit off of the Knez, and had burek for breakfast. The servings were huge, Yelena had the cheese version and I had the meat version. Under $2 for each of us, so a very inexpensive breakfast... with leftovers that will be breakfast tomorrow.

Then we met up with Jovana and walked down the Knez to the Nikola Tesla Museum, about a 20 minutes from our apartment.  Weather was very nice today, 60s and sunny.  A light jacket needed, but in the sun it's comfortable.
There was a line, it moved quickly. It is small, and only 50 people are allowed in the museum at a time.
A 15 minute video presentation on Tesla's life, followed by a couple of demonstrations of his experiments.  Kids got to hold florescent light tubes, which were then lit by a Tesla coil that generated 500,000 volts of electricity. The video presentation had English subtitles, exhibits have English text, but this is clearly a place for Serbians to honor one of their most famous countrymen.
There was also a section displaying some personal belongings, and his ashes are here, displayed in a metal, spherical urn.

We stopped at a sidewalk cafe in the walk back and enjoyed a soft drink.  Belgrade has a cafe culture, where people will spend all afternoon, chatting over coffee.  For every restaurant or cafe, seating is mostly outside, on the sidewalk.
For dinner this evening, Jovana and Zoran brought us to Ćevabdžinica Cica, a restaurant nearby that serves a Sarajevo style cevapi. It's a little hole-in- the-wall place, that you'd likely pass by, if not looking for it.
A local favorite, the cevapi is served up in a warm, soft  pita-type bread. Very tasty... and filling.
we walked down to the newest area of Belgrade after dinner, again along the waterfront of the Sava.

It's very nice, but also sterile. It lacks the character of central Belgrade. No traces of graffiti to be found here.  Huge buildings and parking garages, all brand new, and most still under construction.
There is also a huge mall called The Galleria. It seemed similar in size or style to the Mall of America in MN.  We walked around it for a bit, then found a place to have a drink along the river.
